How do I discover other Bluetooth Users Against Bush participants?

Go to your bluetooth connection settings and choose "scan for devices" or "new paired device." Your device will then search for other discoverable bluetooth devices. If other Bluetooth Users Against Bush participants are within range the search will return a list of devices named "Bluetooth Against Bush."

If I find another Bluetooth Users Against Bush participant, can I send them a text message?

Before you can send messages or share files via bluetooth, your device must first submit a request to "pair" with the other device. This will require you to create a short security code. When the other person enters this security code, your devices are "paired" and may communicate with each other.

Do I have to go through the whole pairing procedure every time I want to communicate with another bluetooth device?

Once a device is "paired," you may set it as a "favorite." If two devices set each other as "favorite" they can communicate without having to pair again.

Isn't there a way around this whole "pairing" thing? What about BlueJacking?

BlueJacking allows you to send messages without needing to pair devices. Basically, you create a phonebook contact and write a message, eg. 'Down With Dubya!', in the 'Name' field. Then you can search for other Bluetooth Against Bush participants and send that phonebook contact to them. On their device, a message will popup saying "'Down With Dubya' has just been received by Bluetooth" or something along those lines.
